As long as your blog is on the same subject as your site it will be a useful link.
If it's on a different theme then in the long run it might be detrimental.

Blogging can be a lot of work too, so you have to decide if you're willing to put in that kind of effort. It can pay off in the end if you have good content and if you can reach your audience well. I think it's also a great way to build yourself up as an expert in the field.

I think one way link and similar content are better.

Hi rcajht,
I'd be interested to hear why you think what you think...?

It is said that one way link is valued higher by search-engines.
Google only value similar contents website backlinked to your site.
Are these right?

So what you are saying is that one-way links from sites on a similar topic are best for SEO, is that right? That's true - they do roughly group sites according to topics, and give on-topic links more value. However, I don't think it is try that they only value on-topic links - off topic links still count, just not to the same extent.
How is that "better" than blogging though? IMO blogging is a great way to get one-way links from sites on a similar topic - possibly the best way. Or do you have a better way to get one way links from similar sites?

Yes blogging is the best way to get the vital one way link than any other source of acquiring links for the site to help your search results and rankings.
