I know it's a silly question, but what is the standard banner size? Which banner size should I design for?
I'm about to finish the new design for a very big site and it only now hit me - I planned for a 462*64 banner based on a banner I looked at, but is that really the common banner size?
Please help!

Anat.

You are close to the most 'standard' ad banner size in use. That is 468x60. Other, less used ad banners sizes are 400x40 and 88x31 (button).

It took me a couple of hours to change the surrounding table and graphics... but I managed it.
Thanx!

Yep, the commonest is 468x60. The Internet Advertising Bureau lists the "standard" sizes for banner/button advertising at:
