How about starting a black list of affiliate programs to avoid? I'll start!

Don't join checker.net affiliate program (Checker Software).
They discontinued my account without notice, they don't answer to my emails and, worse of all, they don't send me my money!

Haven't used them personally... but I've heard terrible things about LinkShare.

I had over $80 in my account, then one day it all disappeared. I have emailed them repeatedly and even written to some of the sites they advertise, but I've not had a response from anyone. I have a very small website, only about 300 hits a month and it took me close to 8 months to make that much money, but I stuck with it. I was very upset with this outcome as it was my sole advertiser on my site for those 8 months Sad I would definately stay away if I were you...

Ditto on LinkShare. Good selection of merchants but LS doesn't raise a finger to help make sure you get paid!

I hear Commission Junction is good.

I too agree Linkshare is slow as far as payment to affiliates, they seems to drag their feet on this. But CJ is very prompt on payment, be aware that they are very strict on cheaters and will terminate your account without giving you a chance to explain, always login in to CJ without the ID link as a reminder to beginners or new affiliate to CJ or you may be mistaken as one.

It seems that you are not having good time with your affiliates. Supertaf is a good affiliate.

No more risk that CJ terminates your account if you log in using your own link, since they don't pay per click anymore.

billtown: I'm not having bad times with my affiliate programs, because I do select them very carefully. Proof of it is that even thought I've joined a couple hundreds of them, I've only listed one on this "Black List".

We use CJ and ClickXchange, of the two CJ is definately a better package for affiliates. They do have a few bugs with their reporting though. Also their site can be unbelievably slow at times.

I know this is the electronic age, but have you thought about picking up the phone and calling them? So often I find that as webmasters, we forget about using the phone!
