Are there any affiliate markets areas that are not saturated?

I have a new website and I am looking to make a little money from it thru an affiliate.

Can anyone give me any suggestions?

I was looking for an affiliate program to promote myself, but I found out that to do well you have to have these 3 elusive things (which I didn't get in anything but my own online business tracing people).

1) You have to be on the affiliate program from the start to increase your chance of recruiting new members and people thinking you've got a fresh idea.

2) You have to sell something people NEED or WANT. Something there is an existing market for. Good Examples - Informational Ebooks on DIY topics, Domain names + hosting, Oil?

3) You have to be making enough from the commission to get a profit so 50% or up, and make sure that the affiliate program isn't stiffing you.

If I were you, I would stay away from affiliate programs. They don't do very well, in general. Very few make any money from those programs. You should try developing your own product/service and sell it. That way you get all the commission:)

I beg to differ ... I make about $400.00 a month on affiliate programs ... plus I offer an affiliate program for my liquid vitamin site and I have one guy who made over $300.00 last month. There is money in affiliate programs. It may not be enough to support you but there is money.

Like I said, very few make good money with them, and you are one of the few. Nice sites by the way.
