One of the best ways to get known around the Internet is through referral websites or referral links. For example, I have a website that is part of the WebQuad Network called "American Conquest." It is a fansite for the upcoming RTS game, and has been listed on the Official American Conquest Website (americanconquest.com) I have seen a very stable stream of visitors coming from the Official Website to my website.
So, I was wondering if we could help one another out by adding each other's links on our websites' "Links Page," featuring the links weekly on the front page of our website, and rotating the links every week (if you can). So, what do you think?
If you can pitch out, please do. If you have a link that you want to be placed on someone elses' website, place it here. However, they have to follow these guidelines:
1) Only "family-safe" websites accepted. No pornography, cussing, or unlawful websites.
2) Websites with excellent design, updated often, good content!
So, what do you say? Can't wait to hear your comments!

Is anyone willing to feature my website on their homepage or anything? I know it might be asking for a lot, but just worth the try anyway. I am waiting for my website to be accepted to ODP and Google...so meanwhile, I need to advertise but at the same time help others out as well!

Well, to be honest, it's not really worthwhile for, using this example, a sports site to advertise an unrelated game site. You always need to be thinking about who you are targeting to and whether or not you are reaching your niche audience ... one way to find good/valuable link partners is to actually go to a site like DMOZ.org (Open Directory) and visit sites in the same category or similar category as yours and propose a link exchange from there.
