I filed a chargeback recently cos some crook EBay seller fraud me.
I paid him with PayPal, now that I've filed a chargeback, my account's restricted.
I asked how to get my account unrestricted, PayPal says:
"In appealing this restriction, you agree to hold PayPal harmless for the charged back amount and to reimburse PayPal. You can give us written permission to remove the funds from your PayPal Account or you can send a check to..."
WTF?
Sorry, but I mean, I issue a chargeback when necessary, and now if I want my account to be unrestricted, I have to pay twice the amount for something I never received? I haven't even got my chargeback yet.
I PMed Damon about this, but haven't got any response from him for a few days.
Any solutions?

That's odd - although I am a PayPal member, I don't use it often (never needed to). Surely they have some sort of support aside from Damon here at TWF? I'd give them a call or send an e-mail to another rep.

I think you're account will (eventually) be unrestricted once they sort out who said what.
But keep after them!
