IF EVERYONE WILL MAKE 'ADSENSE-CENTRIC' SITES
What will happen of Google/Web and reliability of online content if each day thousands of websites emerging alongside the Internet Highway. Everybody wants to join the website culture, No Research, No Dedication.
Who will rely on usability & reliability of content if this is just created overnight.
Web Publishers are turning out becoming website factories, the BULK WEBSITE SUPPLIERS. I have seen web growing since its childhood. And where its going these days? Not a convergence to a higher one rather a submergence to a downside, submerging into an ocean of unreliability.

This has been going on for years now - before adsense it was Amazon.com affiliate sites. I always wonder if these sites ever have any success. I mean, why should anyone visit these sites when they can go directly to google or amazon?? I don't really understand how any of them manage to stay alive or be profitable at all. Same with all those link farms and pseudo-search engines that come up in search results all the time. I don't know, I guess newbies might look at it and not realize what it is but that can only take you so far.
I think the good quality sites will always filter to the top of the glass, so to speak, while the sites that are created solely for the purpose of making money through ad clicks will fall to the bottom.

I somewhat agree. Some sites that just focus on money do surprisingly well, though.

I like to report those listing to Google. I don't know if they do anything about it, but the emails I get back a reasuring.
It's good to use keyword themed pages as long as you are offering the content you advertise/SEO for. If you are just spamming for a few clicks it hardly seems worth it.
I don't like song lyrics site. But guess what, "song lyrics" is in the top 20 most commonly searched keywords. so there are oodles of sites with nothing but song lyric and little original content.
If you want to know a song lyric you might visit one to put an end to arguement about song lyrics.
I'll agree it is bunk that people are trying to take advantage of my curiousity.
I'll get back on this one. Got to go.

The reason that most AdSense targetted websites do so well is because they are VERY VERY good at SEO. They create or buy mass content on keywords which pay high. This can be seen as both a good and a bad thing.
It means that, as mentioned above, there are bulk websites. The same exact site is thrown out one thousand times, with a different keyword.
However, this means that content is valued. Original content. As Megan says, the internet has been slowly commercialized since it's very birth. Why not get something good out of the bargain?
I feel strongly about this issue because I recently started an AdSense targetted website (freearticles.co.nr), I write and buy original content so that people will WANT to come to my website. So that they'll want to come back to my website. And eventually, they'll click one of my links and make me a few cents. Everyone wins.

I am looking to start an entertainment portal (showcasing local bands, parties, nightlife events) with a college oriented theme..and am looking to put a twist on it by offering some good content that is viewer oriented. If this will attract visitors I would definitely be willing to pay for it, but where do you buy content such as that?
I browse these forums alot along with sitepoint and visit these members sites and they own site ranging from all kinds of topics, but I never know where they are getting their content from.
What gives?
