Hello.............
I have an ecommerce web site (http://www.candylandcrafts.com/), for which I charge customers shipping based on the dollar value of the order. I think that conversion to a system that charges "actual" (based on data from, in my case, UPS) would be an improvement, and make me more competitive.
The shopping cart I use: (dansie.net) would allow me to set up shipping tables, but not to plug in to real time info. like UPS.
Can anyone give me any recommendations for shopping carts that will allow me to use real time shipping cost info., plus not require a phd to do it? I use Front Page and am not any kind of guru.
My site has around 600 or web pages, and any change is going to be "huge"....... so I am really interested in anything that will minimize the grunt work. I also need to determine the actual product weights (with shipping materials)..........of each item, and we probably have 1000 items (using sampling to help reduce the work).
Thanks!

I use OSCommerce, and have set up one of my clients with a plugin that calculated his shipping costs by getting live info from the USPS web site. The plugin is included with the normal installation. You also have to set up a free account with USPS specifically for that method of tying in. Seems to be working pretty well, though.
