PDA Application Development
Hello,
My company has been involved in internet application development on Linux based platforms with PHP as the prime language.
We would now like to expand our work to other areas such as PDA, Palm Top and other hand-held device applications.
What is the market opportunites for the same? What are the languages and skill sets one would require for development in these areas? Please supply me with any information you shall have on this topic and I shall be more than thankful for your valuable contribution.

It's my understanding that most PDA's use thier own proprietary lanugages. Many are similar to C but not exactly the same. Not sure you can get a developer's kit cheaply for many models too.
Games are always popular but if you can target a specific industry that might help. Try researching what professions use PDA's the most. That can give you ideas on the applications.
