I would like to know that how this shipping and order tracking works.
- What are the fundamental rules that needs to be follow.
- What are the things that a developer of an e commerce website should know to track orders and shipping
- What would be the database tables that should incroporate to enable the tracking
- What is the role of store owner in the tracking
- What things needs to input in the database every day to update the tracking mechanism
- Or any thing a developer should do or know -- or i am missing here to ask

Well you need to figure out which Shipper you will Support (DHL, UPS, FedEx, etc...)
Then you will need to looking to their API services. I don't know if there are third party APIs that you could purchase but maybe.
Basically your site would just pull information from the Shipper Site and display it inside yours. You will probably need to do a lot of reading. I good place to start with the API information.
