Just a heads up for people. Authorize.Net has been down for a reported 6-8 hours now, some reports of a fire, and that they are getting offiste up and running to be back up by 1pm ET(?)

It couldn't have happened at a worse time for me. I launched a new website for an existing company yesterday afternoon, and I was panicking this morning when I saw all of the orders within the last few hours had failed. I tried to login to Authorize.net to figure out why, and noticed the site was down.
I almost had a heart attack
. Glad it wasn't my fault!

They said for some reason it also took down their backup datacenter as well!
I do feel for them, what a bad way to start a holiday weekend.
