This may be a bit beyond the scope of this forum, but I am curious to know how many posters are self employed, and if you are what are you doing for health and dental insurance?

I have had my legal business (sole proprietor) for almost three years now. I have been going to school locally while still living with my parents which means that I am still a dependent and covered under my family's insurance. Well, it turns out that I only have to take three classes to graduate in the Spring of '08 (yay!), but that means I am no longer a full time student. I only need to take 9 credit hours instead of the required 12. My advisor...advised that I just take another class to continue to be eligible for my family's insurance plan, but I figured it's time I get a plan to cover myself since I will have to look into it in like 7 months anyway.

So there's my life story Cool . I was told that I should look for a group plan. What do web design owners do for insurance?

I can't remember where, but I recently read an article on the Freelancers Union. Not sure if this will help you, but I've been meaning to check it out myself. Just figured I'd post it, just in case: http://www.freelancersunion.org/

I will look into that, thanks. I also found ehealthinsurance.com which seems to have some good information and plans available.
