actually, many business will make big profit but the business must run and good management, good quality, good promotion.

actually what he said is very clear may be i am not the right person to explain because i am also a beginner with less knowledge but i wanna share my view
In my view both are independent,if you are skilled enough you can make ampful amount of profit through internet as everything you get in net when ordinary business is concerned you need good planning and management.ofcourse both comes in reality and what you need is patience and tactics to make them grow higher and higher.
forexample lets take one internet business like onlineshopping(why did i specify online shopping because i myself working on such blog),slickdeals.net which makes a lot of money on user interaction,all they do is just they collect the information what the user has posted in their blog and earn through them,but how did they get that status ,its time and patience take you such higher stands.
when independent business is taken walmart ,the biggest shopping arena where you can find anytype of deal,he makes a lot of money.
finally what i wanna say is whatever business it may be planning ,management,time and patience will take you to higher positions whatever i say is out of my knowledge that i have,maybe i maybe wrong or right whatever i just wantto to share my view

Quite right. You just need to have your own idea and then put your heart on it and work hard, then you will make profit. Just as one of my friends just say that traditional business can not make high profit, but the others do make big money from it. There is no absolute thing in fact.

While an online business can be independent of traditional "bricks and mortar" overhead, a physical business can benefit from an online division.

If you know how to do business online, do it. If you don't, then probably conventional business will be less difficult to deal with.

In my opinion it's good to go both ways, if possible. Run a conventional business and have an online division.

Both have their own advantages n disadvantages.To get profit both of them needs good marketing strategy n management n should know how to pull the crowd.In online business less investment is required compared to normal business but both of them have equal risk.So i rank both equally.

I would consider an online business. It cost a heck of alot more money to start an outside business and you'll need more people. Just something to think about.

Remember this: The internet is not a business. The internet is a way of doing what ever business you already have.
The internet merely enhances what ever you do.
Many people forget this and think just because they use the internet that business will be some magical endeavor. The basics of business remain the same, however communicating becomes broader.

In either cases, plz start with a solid plan. It's not going to magically bloom and you would harvest from it the next day. I'd tried with the retail business: long hours, attitudes from customers in the faces.. it nearly ruined my marriage. Online.. I can choose my time and distance, I love everything about internet.
