Hello

I am new to forums, but I am looking for a bit of help. I want to move away from the current out of the box ecommerce solution that I use to something that just gives me a bit more.

I have been impressed with Volusion and i am thinking of moving to them. Does anyone have experience of the system. Is it easy to use? Is the support good even in the UK? Is it good on SEO? IS it stable?

Also does Volusion allow you to easily get at data. At the moment I have to print off spreadsheets from my software and manually enter how much stock has been sold each month in to Quick books. I would really like a piece of software that integrates with an accounts package of some kind.

I am not a techie, but have successfully built my store in out of the box package before, so would like a similar thing.

I look forward to hearing your views and thanks for your help.

Thanks
Sarah

Hi Sarah,

I have only done a demo with Volusion, but I know many merchants that use it and swear by it. I'm also a forum mod at eCartReviews. Just like this forum, the members are very welcoming, experienced and helpful. It's owned and operated by merchants that have a lot of experience with shopping cart solutions and e-commerce and was created to openly discuss cart solutions among other merchants. The most popular shopping carts discussed are Volusion, 3dCart and MonsterCommerce.

Volusion does have many advanced options in the backend, including Quickbooks integration, SEO URL's and meta tags, custom page titles, sitemap, etc. For full details, this Volusion feature chart pretty much sums it up. Some merchants say that the learning curve is a little steep, but well worth learning.

The only downside for me, and why I haven't gone with Volusion myself, is the lack of customization that can be made to the product layout. If that's very important to you, you may be interested in trying 3dCart.

I hope this helps!
