Good open source shopping cart

Im looking for a good open source shopping solution. I have already messed around with Oscommerce, but heard bad things about it - bugs, security flaws and more.

IM looking into the drupal shopping module, but it is beta version so i dont really want to use it. There is also a joomla addon, but i hate joomla.

If anyone has any ideas i would appreciate it. Maybe i should just go for a commercial system, with support?

Zencart may work for you.

If you're not willing to get your hands dirty then a commercial solution might be your only choice. Drupal's e-Commerce module isn't in Beta, there's a stable and an alpha version (haven't really used it myself though). Maybe you were just looking at Ubercart? That is in Beta still, but pretty stable in my experience. Smiling

Zencart is, pretty much, the only other Open Source shopping cart I can think of. If any other ideas come to mind I'll post them.

Wordpress has a couple of ecommerce plugins, but I think they're limited to PayPal and maybe Google Checkout.

For those that have clicked on my link above recently and found the "site offline" message, I'm glad to say that the site is back up. (Upgraded to Drupal 6 and the views module upgrade was a bit less than pleasant.)

WP e-Commerce is a very powerful e-commerce cart for WordPress. It uses your WordPress database to keep track of customers. You can do pretty much anything you can with other carts, while integrating with WordPress.

Thanks for that heads up! I'm thinking of using Wordpress to start up a blog that is also an online store.

I checked out the site: http://www.instinct.co.nz/e-commerce/

And it seems to have a lot of useful features to it, plus it's free.

I have worked with Zencart and WPecommerce I feel Zencart configuration is the easiest.

ZenCart is a fork of osCommerce. I've heard it's much improved, but still, you can only polish a turd so much. I would avoid it as much as possible.

Having worked with osCommerce, I refuse to shop on sites running it. It's just so poorly-built that I can't trust it at all.

I'm a Drupal/Ubercart fan. Ubercart 2 for Drupal 6 is still in development, but it's coming along nicely - I'd say it's fully usable for most uses at this point. I'm currently working on a module for a client to offer Ubercart products up for auction.

I've also heard great things about Magento, but haven't played with it much myself. But from what have seen, it looks like it might be a bit of a beast to theme…

Also you could try using the Google Checkout shopping cart. I've set that up on one of my sites and it's not that difficult if you know HTML and some JavaScript.

I provide affordable seo services and business website design.

I rather go with drupal ecommerce module, its on alpha version now, actually I'm pretty satisfied with it, its easy to use unlike those other beta modules.

There are a lot of good shopping cart software. Some of the best in my opinion are
1.Presta shop
2. Mangento
3. Cubecart
4. Agora cart etc.
