For those who have sites that sell a tangable product, do you find that people who order online seem to expect faster delivery than if they ordered from a print catalog?

Do they seem more or less reasonable to accept delays, out of stock, backorder etc?

My affiliations don't seem to make me much except a little bit for Amazon. I know this isn't the affiliations forum, but I was wondering about sites that sell merchendise - d0 people actually buy and what is your conversion rate (visitors into buyers)?
