Copy rewrite. How does it read for you at present?

I am a freelance illustrator and as such I hope to have written adequate copy on my site for visitors to want to use my services.
What are your opinions of how it reads for you. Would you want to commission me based on what I am saying on the site?
How could it improve for you?
I have been wanting to change it for a long time as it has pretty much stayed the same as when I created the site 2 years ago.
