Client Billing Problem Pls Help!
Hello everyone,
Since my business has grown I have been finding it incredibly hard to manage client billing.
If a client signs up for my website management package they pay for 3 months in advance. My question: How can I keep track of when my clients 3 months is up?
Is there any software that I can use? What about Quick Books can this software handle this for me?
Any help will be most appreciated. My client list is growing and I don't know what to do. Please help!
Thanks.

One of the things that has made this business so easy to manage is the relatively low level of bookkeeping involved. We don't need to sell thousands of widgets to hundreds of clients annually.
I try to minimize my invoicing requirements as much as possible by using financial incentives for annual contracts rather than monthly, etc. I'll also throw in free months of maintenance just so I can get a new client in line with my billing periods. As it stands now, all my maintenance contracts with the exception of one are annual and all come due at one of four billing points throughout the year.
Just having the one monthly invoice to pump out is an annoyance. I'd hate to have too many of those.
So far, I've been able to manage with Outlook, MS Money, and some custom built Excel spreadsheets. As things grow, I've been keeping my eye on programs such as Great Plains (greatplains.com) Quickbooks, and Simply Accounting.
Typically, I find these programs to be more than I need. I have no payroll or inventory to track and client invoicing is relatively simplistic compared to other businesses.

Quickbooks can be programmed to remind you of scheduled events like payments.
So can just about any calendar program.
