I'm afraid of over-pricing my monthly updates to my client.

I'm thinking if it's minimal updates maybe like 3-5 times a year I'll charge him like $35/hour. But if he wants changes like 5-10 times a month I'll charge him a flat lump sum for the whole year. Like $750 for the whole year for unlimited updates/maintenance? Is that too much too little? What is a "good rate" that you designers tend to mostly agree with.

Haven't we effectively covered this in another thread ?

We can't talk specifics on pricing but as I mentioned in the other thread, the longer the term of the client's commitment, the more attractively it should be priced. Personally, I'd avoid the term "unlimited"

Beyond that, I can't tell you what to charge but 10 updates a month at $750 per year smells a lot like $6.25 an hour to me. Are you happy with that rate?
