I was wondering if anyone had any views on purchasing goods online.

To be more specific, purchasing CD's would be good. Why you chose the site you did, was it good.

If you leave your e-mail i could send you a more in-depth questionnairre, up to you.

Thankyou.

I use Bol.com, because you can order without having a creditcard there.

The answers to this are going to depend on what country we live in but for me I have no worries about buying online as I use a credit card and that gives a certain amount of insurances. I usually buy CD's/DVD's from either Amazon or StreetsOnline (UK) but have recently bought from CD-Wow because they were incredibly cheap but then the order actually came from Hong Kong and got stuck in customs and took 2 weeks to eventually arive so probably wont use them again!

Oh yeah, you can send me your questionnaire as well if you want, just use the address in profile.

I like to buy CD's in the real world, because online I can't get a buy 10 get 1 free deal (AFAIK, anyway... most music stores in Canada offer that kind of a deal). Either that or I'll go to the used CD stores.

I would like to shop online for things I can't get in the real world. The main problem I have, though, is problems with international discrimination. Many sites don't sell outside of their own countries, and will not tell you that up front. So I have to spend a lot of time digging around a site to find out if they'll sell to me and how much extra they'll charge me to ship. Most of the time I won't bother with that though - it's not worth my time and effort. So, because of that, the only times I like to shop online is for stuff I really want and can't get locally - and even then I like to stick with places I know for sure will ship to me and won't charge an arm and a leg for it (like Amazon.com or Indigo.ca ). Oh, and the exchange rate is really prohibitive too.

Feel free to send me your questionnaire - just use the e-mail button in the row above this post there.

I don't buy too many cd's anyway but when I buy online it's usually from Amazon.

i buy stuff online only if it's a much better deal (because it takes longer to get it, etc) than i can get offline and i trust the site i'm buying from.
