I want to know which are the best bussinesses that I can do initially? If it is an affiliate program, which one should I try? Are there any bussinesses that are really helpful to earn good income?
Thanks,

It depends what you're trying to do. If you're just trying to get your feet wet in e-commerce, you would want to try something relatively simple.
My personal recommendation is to find something relatively small that can have a decent mark-up that doesn't have a huge online presence. A good suggestion is to find something manufactured locally by someone that doesn't currently have a website. You might start out by buying a few of their items and seeing what you can get for them on eBay.
If you don't make enough off the item, then start looking again for something to sell. On the other hand, if you get a decent profit off the item, then you should see if you can buy in bulk from the person who makes the item.
If, instead, you are looking for something to sell where you don't have to keep any inventory on stock, affiliate programs and drop-shipping programs would be the way to go.
Affiliate programs work best when paired with an informational website on the same topic. For example, if you are wanting to join, say, Amazon.com's affiliate program and sell DVDs, you might first start a website with DVD reviews. Make the reviews unusual in some way. Perhaps a husband and wife reviewing team. Or maybe you give every DVD a scathing review, whether you liked it or not. The sky's the limit, but you'll need some sort of way to make your site different from all the rest.
While setting up that site, incorporate links to each product you review on Amazon.com. You can also set up a search box so that visitors to your site can easily search Amazon, and you'll get the commission for anything they buy.
With drop-shipping, the key is to do business (and create your website) as if all the products come directly from you. I'm not talking about deceiving customers. I'm talking more about a customer service angle. Even though the product doesn't come from you, your website and customer service should be set up so that you fully support the product. Sure, you will likely have to contact the drop-shipper if there's any real issues, but your customer shouldn't have to worry about that part. You're there to run interference.
Hopefully that helps some. Let us know what you decide to do.

We've done a ton of research on affiliate programs and have reached three main conclusions:
1) Many are scams.
2) Affiliate members often don't really have an interest in the product.
3) Affiliate members often don't do the work they need to promote their site to generate revenue.
Here's how we address these conclusions in our affiliate program (sorry if this is a bit of a plug):
1) We give you full data transparency. If you can see all the traffic, clicks and data being generated by your efforts, you can ensure you are being treated fairly. See example graphs at our site.
2) We ask that you only join if you like electronics and camping products, or at least enjoy the process of internet selling and marketing. This is what we do. If you don't enjoy selling this stuff, you probably won't make money.
3) We supply you with tools, newsletters and strategies to get traffic (and therefore revenue). You will need to put in some time. Anyone who tells you otherwise about any offer is simply not honest. However, we feel that your time will be well spent as you see returns start to grow based on your marketing efforts.
Sound reasonable? Remember: Too good to be true usually is! If the program you are evaluating does not offer these critical components, don't do it. There are thousands of others.

What are you good at doing ? Look into your hobbies .. and start from there. Try to find a niche in here. It must keep you going and interested, otherwise it's just a waste of time and money.

Hi franke1,
There are many ways to create an income over the Internet. I live from money made on Internet since 2003 and before this I was using the Internet for chatting and reading information about different subjects.
My first site was an affiliation to a template selling company. That was a waste of time because I didn't knew anything about marketing and promoting a website on the Internet. Then I read some pdf ebooks about advertising.
And after these steps I met a guy who was web designer and I learned php stuff. Then I built my first online book store. I signed up with payment processing systems and than was the first time when I was making some money.
Affiliation systems are 95% scam. They tend to send you your earnings after reaching a specific level. For example.... I used to be affiliated to a hosting company. Their TOS was specifying that they send you the money after you reach $360. Well, I reached $360 I asked them to send me the money. they said they are willing to send the money only via paypal. I don't use paypal at all and I was hoping to give me a VPS for a period of time. They did not want to.
Anyway you need TIME, patience and willing. Oh, and some money to spend.
