I got partway to work this morning and realized the schools were closed. Schools closed = university closed = free day off work! Yay!

Of course, I've got tons of work to do here (new contest to be posted imminently), and some work on my blog to do to. And a little bit of housework that I never got around to yesterday Sad But LIam and & might be going to see a house later (if the road conditions get better and the freezing rain stops). And maybe I'll do some extra yoga this morning too Smiling

If you had a free day off work, what would you do? (and for those of you who already work at home, pretend that your computer is broken or something and you can't do work!)

I am JEALOUS!! I want snow!! I tlaked to my brother in Colorado, he told me "a lot melted away", they only have about 3' of snow now.

Normally i love snow. This season, I have only seen it twice, and I couldn't enjoy either one. The first time was my father funeral, the second was when I was in the middle of cleaning out his house.

I hear snow is on the way. I'm tired of all this rain.

Go out an make snow angels with Liam!!! (or snow devils Wink

I had Monday off as it was Martin Luther King Day. I went to the San Diego Wild Animal Park with some friends.

Well I don't love snow all that well... I saw in the news today a church collapsed due to the snow... 40 were dead yesterday because of the snow (I'm not sure if it was in Michigan) ....

On a lighter note, if I get a free day, then it would definitely go to tinkering with my truck, or tinkering with my car audio or house audio... If I feel lazy, I'll ask my special someone to watch a DVD marathon with me...

Lucky you. I wish I had snow days. Unfortunately, it almost never snows here. Last year was crazy though, it snowed. It was soooo cold. I had to work but after work I went up to the mountains with my mom and niece.
It snows so little that it made the front page and all the roads were busy because everyone was going to the one tiny mountain that was blanketed in snow. The majority of people here have never seen snow in person. [I'm not one of them though.:)]

Yeah, I never get snow days. Not because it never snows where I live, but because I always seem to live places that get tons of snow. I used to live in Alaska, now I live in Montana way up in the Rockies.

So they never close the schools there when the roads are really bad???

If they closed down every time the roads were bad in Anchorage they would have to close for the entire winter. You just have to deal with it. Obviously if there is a traffic accident and all the inbound traffic on the highway is being squeezed into one lane (which happens daily in the winter) your commute will take a lot longer, but what can you do?
