ON a weekday:

  • Wake up at about 7:45
  • Get ready for work (dressed, make-up, hair)
  • Grab my lunch & purse and go to work (sometimes I bike but usually I drive).
  • Once at work, check the RSS, TWF, weather site, and internal daily news page while having breakfast and coffee. RSS is getting bigger and bigger for me so I'm usually checking those throughout the day.
  • Then get started on whatever I'm working on for the day. I usually take a break at some point and walk around outside.
  • 12:30 or so - lunch. I go downstairs to the cafeteria to eat.
  • Afternoon same as the morning.
  • around 4:30 leave for home
  • arrive at home, check mail
  • If it's hot out, I go swimming (I live in a big apartment building with a pool)
  • Otherwise, I chat with my boyfriend on Skype until about 6:30 or 7:00, except on Tuesdays when I have yoga at 5:30
  • Make and eat supper
  • Wait awhile, then work out (I work out at home)
  • Shower or take a bath
  • Relax a bit
  • get ready for bed
  • read
  • sleep!

Edit: forgot to eat breakfast!

I don't have a typical day, except the weekends, well ok only sundays kinda. My sunday goes something like this:
8-9am Get out of bed
8-9am have a smoke and coffee (thats breakfast)
9:15-10am do the web stuff
10am have another coffee
10:30am wake up
sort out the following weeks plans (whether it be work to do or work to find or bills to chase up or parts for my van project)
If fine jump on the motorbike and go for a blat if possible, if not fine just spend quality time with the little woman.
9pm (ish) did some work on web project (not web page). Tonight I worked on my 'would be' patent project.
Bed by whenever depending on what following day is to bring, tonight for example it's 10:40pm now and am having my last coffee of the day (think thats about the 7th coffee)
10:40 web stuff again
11 ? bed
I'm meant to be up at 7am tomorrow to chat to someone online, like I told them, if I am here at 7am aliens have got me or hell has frozen over, told them I'd be here at 9am lol - I so hate mornings

[edit] got to bed at 12

If I ever had a typical day this year, I've lost it already. It's now 2.10 AM, I woke up about 30 minutes ago, I'm about to have breakfast and watch the World Cup.

I suppose on a good uni day, I try (but fail) to stick to a schedule like this:
- Wake up at 7 AM. Yeah, right!
- Wash up. Always.
- Check email/forums/IRC. Not enough.
- Breakfast. Sometimes.
- Bus to uni for 9 AM lectures. Usually get there by 11 AM.
- Lunch at 1 PM. Sometimes.
- Bus home by 5 PM. But often stay at the labs until 10 PM.
- Check email/forum/IRC, read, code for a few hours. Homework - what's that?
- Dinner by 11 PM. Always.
- Sleep by 2 AM, or try to stay up all night. Homework - oh yeah, that stuff due in later today.

- Wake up about 7:30am, get breakfast and watch TV for half an hour.
- Grab a shower and brush my teeth etc.
- Check e-mails and forums.
- Load Photoshop and Dreamweaver and let out a big *siiiiigghhhhh*
- Alternate between working and checking forums and news sites till about 4pm
- Watch 'Deal or No Deal'
- Laugh when the person loses big money.
- Sit back down at computer and work for maybe 1 to 2 hours more.
- Make and eat my dinner.
- Txt/call my friends and girlfriend to ask if they will be in the pub.
- If they are in pub, I will go. If not, I might go in the garden with a few stellas and chill out.
- Bed!!!

Here is mine.

  • Wake at 6.30 when "her indoors" get's up - go back to sleep
  • Get up about 8.15, s**, shower, shave and run out the door
  • Get to work at 9 and start checking emails
  • Finish checking emails / post about 10.30 and go out for a smoke
  • Assign the day's work to the rest of the team
  • Start dealing with anything larger than came in by email
  • Lunch time (quick smoke and a sandwich at the desk)
  • Start actually doing some development work about 2.30. Switch between that and assisting the rest of the team
  • Say goodbye to the rest of the staff when they leave at 5/5.30
  • Redirect phones to voice mail and work on more techinical stuff that is hard to do with interruptions
  • 7/7.30 Backup. Lockup and go home.
  • Eat dinner about 9
  • Bit of TV and some wine
  • Check email for anything urgent
  • Bed about 1

Anyone would think no-one here has a life!
