Isn't it amazing how great wikipedia.com is. Imagine if the Encyclopedia Brittanica had an article about The Naked Gun and almost all other movies. It would fill up your entire house. In a few years you'd probably have to chop down every tree in the world to have enough paper to print one copy.
I'm more of an action movie type person. I really love films like 'the rock', 'face/off' and '8mm (actually... all three have Nicolas Cage in them... I'm noticing a pattern here!).
I also love scifi films like the startrek movies, starwars, Serenity, The Island.
It's sad, but one of my fave films of all time is probably 'The Fast and the Furious'. It's fun to watch and doesn't require any brain power, so I can just chill out and enjoy.

Now that's a classic.
It's virtually impossible for me to pick a favourite film as there's just too many. I'm going to bite the bullet and go for 'The Shawshank Redemption' though
I was unable to pick one when reading this post the first time, but tonight we watched the Italian Job. I've seen it before, but had forgotten how good it is.

That line would be from 'Get Carter' I believe.
Talking of the Italian Job, have you seen the remake. I actually really like it. If you look at it as just an action film it's pretty good but just as an action film. As soon as you try and look at it as a remake you're going to find flaws. You could never remake such a classic film as the original.
It's hardy ranking up there with the greats, far from it, but thought i'd mention it anyway as Jeeves brought up the original
Favourite movie... that's a hard one to choose. I was really excited to find the Nightmare Before Christmas at the video store yesterday. They discontinued the DVD this year (re-released in theatres) so it's been hard to find. I love that movie I remember when it first came out my sister and I went to Burger King to get the special Nightmare Before Christmas digital watches. I wonder what happened to those...
Most of my all-time favourites are cheesy 80's stuff like the John Hughes movies and things like that. And Karate Kid. And Dazed and Confused And... okay, I'll admit it... Dirty Dancing  I like to relax and have fun when I watch movies, especially the ones I watch over and over again
A few months ago Liam and I signed up for an online video rental service so we're watching a lot of movies and TV shows lately. We use Cinemail.ca, which we like because it's Canadian and it has a big selection of British movies
I'm a huge movie buff so I can't pick just one movie to be my favourite of all time but Willy Wonka has been on the top of my list since the day I saw it. Haven't seen the remake. I'm sure it'll ruin the original in my head. Sequels always do.

Anything with Leslie Nielsen is usually pretty good especially Naked Gun.

First two to come to mind are Airplane! and Long Way Round. I don't know, it's hard to pick a favourite. Too many good films.

Shawshank is fantastic, so is the Green Mile. Tom Hanks is a really good actor in that film.
I like the dancing in Flashdance, not really the characters. Billy Elliot is another good movie.
