Hi guys!
Just out of general interest I wonder what everyone's homepage was. Mine is SkySports.com. Which is the website for a set of sky channels dedicated to sport...DUH!
Sky is like the American version of Cable. Although you get SkyOne I think. God! It's been so long since I was in America that I cannot remember.

Mine is still my blog (with the links to forums being what I hit first), but more and more the first thing I'm using is the RSS reader, so I'm not using the browser as much, meaning soon I may not have a home page, such as it is.

Mine actually resides on my hd. It is a rather utilitarian portal page - a collection of links, tickers, login interfaces, etc.

I never use my homepage, I should make it something I go to all the time, but that would throw out my balance of the neutral homepage of Yahoo

I have my homepage set to my.yahoo.com on my IE browser.
I have to read the news first thing with my coffee while I am waking up. I have tried others but I always go back to yahoo news.
Opera is set to these forums.

my homepage is a php script i created that picks a random number, and then visits a pre-determined website that i frequent (one of fifteen) based on that number. pretty cool.

I used to have a page of all the client projects that I was working on, et cetera, but Mozilla brand browsers and Safari (Mac only) saved me this drudgery. Now I have folders of bookmarks and I can open a whole folder into tabs with one click, and adding files is a matter of dragging them into the folder. I make new folders for each client and ta-da!
So, my homepage now is my personal site, though more and more I don't use it, instead I use the news aggregator to get RSS feeds, and my folders to open regularly visited sites that don't work the same way (i.e. this one, where an RSS feed isn't quite what I want, though one would be useful for updated and new threads).

I used to have a poorly designed, locally hosted portal, but since formatting, I haven't bothered making another one... or even just copying the old (ugly) one from disk.
otoh, starting off with a fresh bookmarks list in Moz Firebird allowed me to recalibrate and clear out all unnecessary junk. Also, shortcuts such as search boxes for google and dictionary which I had on my home page are taken care of in Firebird itself, so I don't have a need for it anymore.
My home page until a few days ago was planetarion.com, just to remind me to develop a habit of checking my account there. Now I've shifted back to physicspost.com.

google.ie for me at the mo.
I used to have it set to my own forums, but whenever my sister or my dad went online it went to my forums. If I went online afterwards I never got to see all the new posts made as the cookie had been updated assuming it was me
I used to use about:blank too.
Does anyone remember that little trick you could do with IE that would load it without any page at all, not even about:blank?
It made it load up even faster, but I can't remember it
It was something like adding a -n to the end of the shortcut properties. Maybe it doesn't work on newer OS'

I find that interesting too - it's rare for me to do a search first thing when I get online. Usually I make the rounds at my usual sites and then, if there's something I need to look for, I might do a search but even then it's from the google search box not from google.ca. I haven't seen the front page of google in ages!
Here's another question - what's the first thing you do when you get online?

tsk tsk, Jack, using IE.
My homepage is back to :blank. After a few reinstalls of Linux and then Moz Firebird, I gave up on customising these things too much, until I'm sure of sticking with one software.
Trouble is, with Moz Firebird 0.7 coming up, and my intention of switching distros again in a month or two, I doubt I'll be customising for a while...
