What is your homepage?

When you fire up your browser what comes up?

When I open up Firefox I have several homepages on different tabs

Now that I think about it, I could have RSS feeds for all those and not have to have them as my homepages.

about:blank

Is also very good for when you're bored, you can just stare at it for hours and see new things :roll eyes:

MySpace and Facebook. Childish maybe, but it is. With MySpace, I really like to see how the account for my radio show is coming along.

Boringly: Whatever tabs I was viewing when I last shut the browser down.

*** EDIT ***

Busy wrote: about:blank

about:blank must be the only truly cross-browser compatible web page on the net. It's future-proofed as well Wink

I load my own page from my hard drive that contains all of my frequent links. The e-mail link contains mailto: so that my e-mail client will launch.

Yeah, I used to do what Roo does - make my own homepage - but I got lazy and now I just use about:blank Laughing out loud

At work I have http://www.uwaterloo.ca - that's the university I work for. Good as a start-off point for searches or to find other information, and I read the Daily Bulletin every day.

At home - about: blank. I wish I could just have no home page on Opera since I usually read mail first anyway. I don't like setting forums as a home page because I don't like to acidentally go there and log in when I don't want to. That means that I need to read what's new before everything gets marked read.... of course we could fix that here by switching to the database-based read marking system. Not sure if I like that or not...

Boring: google

Used to use my own page but also got lazy. Was tempted to write a new one integrated with delicious, but again was too lazy.

Anyone seeing a pattern forming?

Out of interest - why not? I always find this a great imrovement (except it encourages you to read more threads)

Mine is about:blank too. I just never know where I might want to go when I start, so I don't want to wait for a page to load (although it only takes like a second on my computer Sticking out tongue)

I have a custom start page as well. It's actually located on one of the domains I own, but it's password protected. That way I can access my favorite bookmarks anywhere. And I can also add to them and jot down notes to myself on the page.

I use http://mail.google.com on FireFox. It's a locked tab, so I can't ever close it. When I restart the browser, even after crash, it loads all the previous pages and Gmail is still closed. Yes, FireFox. Sticking out tongue

Each day I open google.com/ig (Google's personalized home page), but I wouldn't consider it my homepage.

I quite like the idea of creating my own home page which is password protected on my Site. I might try that and see. Currently though, my homepage is MSN UK - not for any particular reason though.

I have myway.com which is great for me. All my links are on "my page" and I can see that anywhere, from any computer. I also have them in my favorites in case I'm bored with it and want about: blank again.
