What can you say about the Movie 300?

It's a remake of the old 300 spartans movie, this one has great graphics though, it's like the whole movie is a Cut Sequence of a Game like Warcraft.... I think theres a lot of CG stuff going on in there... But I like the movie all in all for the Blood and Gore effect... The thought of the story was also delivered, but what makes me really wow is the graphics...

I saw it, I liked it a lot. I definitely recommend it if your into action. There isn't much "character development" but what dude cares about that? Great action movie. I don't think it will be the best movie of the year, but it did get me out of my chair and into the theater, which doesn't happen very often .

I thought it was pretty boring in places. It's not often I find myself looking at my watch half way through a film.

The style of the film was cracking though. I haven't seen Sin City yet (on which this film's style was similar to apparently) but loved the use of colour. The action was amazing and the whole comic book style came across really nicely.

EDIT: There were some dodgy tactics employed by both sides too. 'Course, I'd have done it differently youuuu understand.

The story (what little there was) was just too errrm, well Hollywoody I think is the best way to describe it. All that heart string tugging reminiscent of the film Gladiator and lots of victory over evil stuff. Some might say there is some truth behind the allegations of this film being an attack on Iran. I say it's just another example of Hollywood doing what it does best. The The Main character was also just a wee bit too hammy at times.

So Pros: Effects, Use of light and colour, Action, Style
cons: Hammy actor, lack of a story/ any real characterisation, Cheesiness.

All this talk has however, made me want to watch it again though so maybe next time I watch it I'll see something about the film I missed the first time.

Lets just say we like how it looks... You dont really have to commit to the story line... and the actors are practically unknown... If you like six packs however, theres a lot here...

Lots of buff guys in loin clothes and great special effects and a great story.

thats the power of CG and hollywood exaggeration....

I loved that movie. '300' is one of the best movies of all, all, time. It's the ultimate guy movie.

Perfect dialogue, lots of fighting, lots of idealized fighting, big dudes, big attitudes...and the SCENERY (dear jesus)....

If you could be in love, and marry a movie...I would this one.

OMG, how have some of you never heard of it. Whether or not you like it is of no consequence, it was probably the most publicized movie event of the year. Anyway, 300 was amazing and follows in the footprints of Sin City for excellent artistic design. The use of the abnormal colors really can be quite powerful especially when used correctly.

I thought that the 300 was probably the best movie that I have seen in a while. I have been fairly disappointing so far this summer with all of the sequels. Nothing has really amazed me so far.
