Now that I am spoiled by having a decent logging and stats program on my own domain site Smiling, I'm looking for something free and simple to track visitors to my personal pages (kids' pics, etc.) on the free space provided by my ISP.

I've tried HitBox and HitMatic, but am not happy with either. Visitors arrive at several pages (I give out different ones in different contexts), but it seems like most free services will only track IPs, referrers and such from one's "main page".

I would really be interested in a service or program that lets me view complete raw logs of all my hits; any statistical analysis would just be a bonus. I could go with a CGI solution instead of an online service, but it would have to be extremely simple to use/install, as I've never played with any CGI stuff. My ISP uses a "CGI-wrapper" program, if that makes a difference.

Recommendations anyone?

Hi
I suggest you try http://www.mycomputer.com the counter/stats program is called iClicks or Superstats.

The free version is ad based and is basically some javascript you paste on your page/s. One lot of code can be used on many pages. Ads are pay per click, so a small income can be obtained if visitors click on the ads.

The stats available are brilliant, I think they have some demo pages for you to look at. The stats can also be made public or not, your choice.

You can see the type of ads at the bottom of my site, I like to keep my ad/counter at the bottom, less obtrusive and less clicks but I think my visitors don't feel bombarded.

Hope this helps Smiling

Have you lookined in http://www.sitemeter.com ? Definitely take a look there. I'm a happy user who has experienced no downtime or inconsistency from them, as well as the fact that you can make the tracker invincible.
