Survivor II Starts Jan. 28! Chat about it.

Let's call it for what it is - Scheming and Back Stabbing, Part 2. If it were real survival they would just drop them in the middle of nowhere with a compass, knife and the clothes on their backs. Then the first person to stagger across the finish line wins.

At least The Mole is upfront about what they expect the "contestants" to do to each other.

The whole “reality TV” is a joke. If it were true reality they’d randomly pick contestants rather then selecting people that will obviously not get along together.

In terms of how realistic it is; I can say with experience that you don’t look anything like that after living that long in a deserted area. When I say experience I’m a SAR team leader and an Eagle Scout, so I’ve been on long wilderness trips (12 day backpacking trips, 50 milers, etc) and rescued people who have been lost for days, who look way worse. Makes you wonder if they panned a little to the side if you’d see the makeup staff. I bet they get smudged with dirt before every taping.

If I were to watch one it would be Fox’s Temptation Island. At least that’s a complete joke (hopefully) to begin with.

Well it was still interesting to watch.

If people do not realize it is fake and made to pull in ratings they need some help. It is all a mind game. It is not the strongest boyscott wins.

It is still fun nonetheless and I will watch.

If you understand that it’s not reality that’s great. I also know a lot of people who think that it's real or close to it.

My moneys still with Temptation Island.

If you guys really want to know I am doing it for the money.

I think Survivor 2 will be huge and for two months or so I think everyone will be hyped and looking to chat about it.

I have not found a GOOD Survivor message board yet, so I think I might have something, although I am working on the design right now.

Survivor and all of those reality shows are extremely stupid. I'm sorry, but if you're going to sit at home.. watching other people live an adventurous lifestyle without doing it yourself, and calling that "satisfying," you've got some serious issues.

The main reason for my viewpoint? The one show that the nekkid guy was nekkid in.

I never said I was going to sit at home and watch the show. Yes, I will chat about it and watch a few episodes, but it is so I can run my forum successfully for two months that the show is big and make MONEY.

I do not watch it because I think it is real or because I am lazy and wish to watch others achieve an adventerous lifestyle.

I guess you could say the same thing about sports. People that watch them "have issues" since they are not out living an adventerous lifestyle and playing sports.

People could be very adventerous. What is to say that many of the people that watch Survivor aren't in shape, into the outdoors, physically active and have adventerous lifestyles?

It is just entertainment, just like soap operas, sports, comedies, movies etc. It is fun for one hour a week. That's all. I guess 30 million people were pathetic that watched it then and are not adventerous. Many of the contestants in Survivor 2 watched it and loved it. Are they not adventorous? They are in the show.

Saw The Mole a little this evening. Looks ok. At least they don't claim it to be reality. It's just a game show.

Yeah, I saw The Mole a little last night as well. I think I like the format more than other shows such as Big Brother. I don't know, I'm not into reality shows too much.

webmasterlane.com, can you please edit your post so it doesn't look like self advertising? If you don't edit it within the next 24 hours I'll have to change it myself. By the way, the site's coming along good. I've stopped in a few times, but havn't posted.
