Hi,
I wasn't sure where this post belongs, but does anyone know of any software that will do the same thing as Ask Jeeves. What I'm referring to, is to allow your customers to search a database for questions, like Dudley from dell.com, etc..
This way, the customer can search for their question and get an answer instantly.
Thanks
Curtis

Take a look at CGI Resources and PHP Resources. I'm pretty sure I've seen a search script at one or the other that said it worked similar to Ask.com.

Maybe you can take a simple search script and configure it to only look at a certain group of pages in your site instead of the entire site? Might not need to be as fancy as Ask Jeeves or similar.

This is what I was talking about:
http://www.cgi-world.com/qa.html
I was wanting something that would allow your customers to search your database of questions and answers before they email support, so all of those questions that are already asked a bunch, can be automated!

Who's going to populate the inital database? And with what data?
Then how will you get new issues into the database?
Doesn't seem much different than a really well written FAQ list.
