Up before the Sun aggg to much on my mind.
How many of you work on more than one website and when building a new one do you ever find it hard to sleep with all the ideas running through your head...
I never had this problem till I startted building website and reading reading reading online of all the different things that can go into creating and building...PHP, ASP, CGI, CF, HTML, CSS, MySQL, MS Access, MS SQL, or Oracle database ect ect ect on and on..
Ive been waking up almost every day @ 4:00 AM finding this the best time to focus having no introruptions...ty just had to vent that...

Since I started I rarely sleep more than 4 hours at the beginning, then I decided I really need sleep to function properly. Ideas rush in at times then I wake up and write these ideas... Its an actual addictive behaviour perse, but then it tends to plateu in a couple of months when youll learn it does take a toll...

With bigger scale websites that sometimes happens to me. Smaller, simpler ones, not so much.
Of course, I generally wake up before the sun anyway. Not because I'm a morning person, but I feel like I'm more productive if I wake up early. So I force myself into productive mode.

I also consider myself more productive in the morning. Unfortunately i haven't got over the hurdle of getting my *** up early...
I agree with Demon about getting up and writing down your thoughts. For some time now i have now struggled to get to sleep, i get into bed at about 12 and it takes over an hour to drift off normally. I used to be out like a light by 10!
Sometimes i wish i was freelance and worked at home, then sleeping patterns wouldn't matter!

I tend to be most productive later in the afternoon. The office gets pretty quiet after 4:30. If I stay late I can get a lot done in an hour or so.
I know what you mean about thoughts and ideas keeping you up at night! The other night I actually wrote out a full article (by hand!) at 11:30 PM becuase otherwise I would be staying up all night thinking about it.

I hate mornings
I'm more productive at night or later afternoon onwards.

I am most productive late at night, I seriously think it is becasue during the day, my mind is constantly thingking in 5 directions at once (really bothers my wife when we are trying to talk, she thinks i am just not listening to her).
Late at night, my mind is so tired it can only focus on one thing, so i become the most productive then, and then once i am started, i need to keep going until i fall asleep. I really have a difficult time stopping in the middle of something and getting back to that same point later.
I had to go let the dog in.... what was i saying...? LOL just kidding. But seriously, that alone would be enough to cost me a good 15 minutes to get back in focus
