Well, since finding the old thread would take more then three seconds, I decided to start this thread up again. Let's see some desktops! NOW! Heck, we could have a contest for the sweetest looking desktops. I'll post mine a bit later--as of now I've got a wallpaper that I didn't make, and I don't like doing that. Smiling

Here is my desktop http://www.webmasterlane.com/desktop.gif

As you can see I hate icons. Usually I do not even have the bottom menu. It is on auto hide. I use my nice monitor to spruce up the look of my room.

I guess I'm the only one who doesn't use the Explorer shell. Smiling

Fisher, how much memory does that shell take up when compared to the Explorer shell?

Compared to Explorer? Well, it all depends on the theme you've got installed. A dry install of the regular Litestep shell takes up somewhere around 40% less resources than Explorer. Of course, depending on how intensive the theme you've got for it is, that can be either less or more.

The one in that screen shot was around 35% less resources than Explorer.

The new one I've got (I'll post a screen shot if you really want) takes around 45% less, depending on what I'm doing.
