Well many of you know but now I have a sec it is my pleasure to make it official. TWF is no longer mine, I have sold it to Chad Simper who I firmly believe will not turn it into a commercial site thus upholding the values I started with.
Why am I selling?
Simple, I love TWF and think you guys and gals are great. Sadly I have no time to improve TWF and it was notibly slowing in traffic and posts. Not something I wanted to see happen. The obvious choice was to pass it on to somebody who had the time, dedication, talent and same aspirations as me. Chad was my man.
This is not a spur of the moment decision, i have been contemplating it since February this year when other ventures just started taking too much of my time.
I hope to come back as a regular member by early next year and to help Chad improve TWF.
Please keep in touch with me because I really have enjoyed my time as TWF owner, but all good things come to an end.
Right back to work, see you all soon!

A changing of the guard...
You should be extremely proud of what you created, this forum has stood the test of time with flying colors. I have made a lot of great online friends here and continue to do so, and as always it's been a great resource of information.
I'll miss you JP, but as long as you still check in every now and then, it's ok. I think we'll be in good hands with Chad.
Don't work to hard, it's not healthy
You mentioned that all good things come to an end, when that happen's to me I just ask for an extension (it's worth the extra interest
)
Best of Luck,
Peter J. Boettcher

I think I speak for everyone when I say that it is a tragedy to loose you JP. I know we aren't loosing you for good, but you were definitly a huge part of TWF.
As JP stated, TWF will never become a commercially driven site. I put a good deal of money into purchasing the site with absolutely no intention of getting a money return on the investment. But I must say that it is one of the greatest investments that I have made. I have been a part of this community since March of 1999 and I have known JP since then. I have come back just about every single day (more than once on many occasinos!) because of the community and I feel that what I will get out of the community by supporting it is far more valuable than the money I could potentially get out of it. I didn't purchase TWF because it may or may not be a good commercial site, I purchased it because quite frankly, I didn't want it to become one...
I can only say "ditto" to everything Peter said...

JP will you still be an administrator ? What about Patrick ? Chad will you be able to give us some ideas as to what you will work on first ?
I had no idea, I thought TWF was going to merge.
Good Luck JP!
and Welcome Chad

Ravi,
Check out the Forum Specific Comments section for some of my plans.
My biggest goal is to get the forum moving again... As many have commented, things have slowed down.
As far as administrators go, I am the only administrator. I may be appointing one person to either a Super Moderator or Administrator position in the next couple of weeks to help me out, but other than that, we will be the only administrators. Patrick no longer has the time to participate at TWF either so neither him nor JP will be administrators from now on...

I haven't heard anything about that in a while, and I was supposed to be the other party in that. I guess the last post I made on it at my forum pulled JP away from the idea-- I didn't think I was that mean though.
Anyway, it's in the past now, so good luck to Chad. He will make a good admin and has helped me a time or two as well.

Sorry guys, I've been extremely busy the last week or so, and haven't been able to keep up-to-date here. After hearing the news, I'm sad to see JP leave for a while, but glad that Chad is able to resume where JP left off and lead TWF to dominance again.

JP Stones,
While you may have not had the time to work on this forum, you did seem to be a very nice person, and it will be sad to see you go.
I know I am not a very active member here, but I do stop by quite often, and will miss your presence as an administrator.
Good luck with your work!

Seriously, I am sorry to see you go for a while JP. I bid you adieu, and wish you good luck in whatever you do in life. Thanks for taking my jokes the right way, too.

Why am I always the last one to find out about these things? Guess I should visit more. Anyway, there's too much I want to say, but I'm still pondering this...

Hi all, just some personal thank you's while I'm online.
Cheers Justin, you're a great guy and I hope to see you still at TWF when I stroll in on my weekly (or so) visits.
Mike, you've been a great addition ot the TWF community, not quite sure in what function but you sure as hell kept us all entertained!!
werehere, cheers pal - I'll see you about I hope.
Thanks Marc, I hope you stick about too!
Ravi, as Chad stated I will no longer be andmin, it would not be worth it as my presence now will be mostly as a poster.
Peter, I am very proud of TWF, and I hope Cahd can bring it to th enext level. It was a very hard decision to part with it but I think I have made the right choice.
On a different note, I am also selling some of my domains (Note to self: this should be in Barter forum, Chad will hunt you down!). They are all webmasetr/internet related and so I'm sure many of you will be interested .
see you all soon, I'm on email at john.stones@netdecisions.co.uk (day job by the way, marketing strategy)

Sadly I am the next one to take my hat and leave TWF as a part of the Administrative Team...
Just like JP my daytime job keeps me far too busy to maintain TWF like I used to. I hope to see you all on ICQ, email or at this forums whenever I visit it once in a while.
And btw, I am also looking for somebody to maintain computer-forums.com, so if you're interested, please check out the Job&Barter Forum!
