MPEG to AVI Conversion: Help Me !
Hi,
I have a VCD which has Video on it. Now this is in the MPEG format right.
Using RealProducer (real.com) I wish to convert this VCD into Real format.
For this purpose I need to convert the MPEG into AVI format, which is giving me
nightmares, since I have not been able to find even one piece of software which would help
me do this.
Please let me know if any of you out there have done some conversion like this before.
I would really appreciate and be thankful for your efforts.
Thanks & BYE !

Well, it's *not exactly* MPEG format. The files on a Video CD are .bin and .cue format which can easily be converted back and forth from .mpg. All you need is a program to extract actual .mpg video files from a VCD disc so that Real Encoder can handle the rest of the job. Try using VCDGear (http://www.vcdgear.org). Just extract the VCD files into .mpg or .avi format and then run that through Real Encoder to produce the .rm files.
