Wow, that's a lot of porn. So I think it's pretty sad that people are interested in porn, The Simpsons, and I think I saw David Bowie in there too. Yikes!

Yeh, amazing to see so much porn-related stuff in there. And I thought wikipedia was a valuable educational resource!

The survey results seem to be morphing. Now the US is near the top of the list, and porn a little lower in the rankings. What is the appeal of big busted porn and film stars though? Surely researching C programming is far more engaging.

Porn is good!
Viewing porn is healthy. Making porn is good money for people.
I'd be more concerned that people are getting killed every day in Iraq.

I cannot believe that shoddy Aussie soap 'Neighbours' is in at number 19! I can remember the days of Kylie (Minogue) and Jason (whatever his name was) on that programme. Anyone else familiar with it?
Personally I'd much rather watch: 'Skippy the Bush Kangaroo'. 'What's that Skip, boy stuck down the well?!'
Mate of mine reckoned they had to nail a plank of wood across Skippy's tail to stop the blighter hopping off. Although that was the same person who once declared that Tupperware was used by the Communists to distract the West from the buildup of military forces in the eastern bloc.

Actually if you take a look into history (of media) Porn is a evolutionary step. with moving film it was the then emerging porn industry that made the moving image viable. (think about Brokeback Mountain -- all alone, with your horse... off topic).
Same goes with the Porn sites advancement of streaming technologies.
Shoot, did you know that it's "rumored" that Thomas Edison (inventor of film) had the first porn film. Ok it's not a rumor it's fact but lets give him some degnity here.

porn is the worst thing ever. It is degrading to the female species, it is cheap and not real. Making love is about feeling not just sex. How can one make love without feeling? If you can have sexual intercourse with out feeling there, then it is shallow and meaningless. You have to feel the person you are making love to or else what is the point.

You really need to qualify that, because "soft" porn is more erotica and probably healthy in a relationship that falls within your parameters of caring sharing sex.
Hard core is different, and I am sure my views, which I am not going to air here, are different to yours.

I have always maintained that if a man is totally and completly satisfied with what he is getting, why on earth should he need to look at something else to stimulate him. Is it just a 'man thing' or am I a little niave here.

Blokes are visual beings by and large, and porn is geared mostly at men, but i guess you are a little naive in that some women do periodically get a visual kick too. Whether that is a sign of something missing in ones love life, or whether it is a sign of a healthy curiosity/open mind to mix it up and keep things moving along, who can say what is a fair generalisation?.

Well maybe I am a little niave, but I would not expect to make love with someone who is not constantly thinking about something he has seen in a porn movie, I would hope that he is thinking about me and there is feeling between us and we are making love and not just having 'sexual intercourse.

I'm wondering if a big part of all those porny type pages on the list is due to kid's. A bit like looking up rude words in a dictionary, or the lingerie section in a mail order catalogue. Something like wikipedia probably gets past alot of 'content control' software. Could be a case of, look up fightermons thunderkill attack, then when no one's around look up 'pornography' and have a giggle.
I like the way it's always about the female species in porn issues. They seem to forget the fact that maybe it can be degrading to men too and i've no doubt that some men are probably exploited in the industry too.
There are sex crazed men AND women out there who do porn because they like sex, and like the money. It's the people who end up in the situation where they have no choice that sadens me.
Anyway that's just my two cents
