Hi everyone,
Last year it was Frances,Ivans,Jeanne which caused the havoc. And this year it has started with Hurricane Dennis. I just hope people living in all those areas are safe and sound.

Having gone through Ivan and Dennis, they were two completely different experiences.
Ivan was a terrifying experience because it was at night and you just couldn't get a grasp on what was going on outside. I had a tree fall on the house, but luckily it only punched a small hole in the bathroom ceiling. The aftermath wasn't that bad, except for the shell-shock. I say it wasn't that bad because that was in september and the temps were pretty low. Very important when the power was out for 2 weeks.
Dennis hit during the day and its quite amazing to watch trees falling and debris flying everywhere (I need to get a video posted.) What was so bad was that afterwards the temps were in the 90s. Luckily, the power was only out for 3 days. Also, I got the weak side of this one (winds from the north.) I got the strong side of Ivan (winds from the south.)
Hopefully the rest will follow Emily to Mexico
