My wife and I went to Cheescake Factory (they serve food too) and had a great time. The couple next to us had a much more interesting time, though. Their waiter was new and under the drinking age and had never opened a bottle of wine before. Which they ordered. He promptly broke the top off trying to open it, cutting his hand.

We missed that part, but were there for the rest.

The guy got steak, but told the waiter it tasted like liver. Thankfully, the guy liked liver, so he just ate it.

The girl ordered a slice of cheesecake, but got the wrong one. The waiter then told her they were out of the one she had ordered, so she ordered a different one.

When the bill came, she found out that the cheesecake she had ordered the second time around was the most expensive on the menu. (The cheesecakes don't have prices in the menu, but, unbeknown to most, are in order from cheapest to most expensive.) Not only that, but they charged her for the first piece of cheesecake as well.

The guy seemed to be in a fine mood when they left, but his date did not.

We didn't do anything for Valentine's day really. Just a normal day in our house Smiling We're newlyweds, you understand Wink

I did have a rather annoying day otherwise. DIdn't get much done at work, then came home and tried to price out a computer at dell (what a pain!). Then when LIam was doing the dishes I tired to use his computer to buy shoes on ebay, only to find out that someone had tried to hack into my account and it was blocked, so I had to go through this big half hour ordeal with their customer service.

(am buying shoes on eBay because I like a special brand that isn't available in stores here and I can save about $20 off the retail price if I get them there).

Well, My V-day was pretty fine... Had a date scheduled at 3PM, early in the morning I sent 6 white roses to her, asked a kid to deliver to her office a box of ferrero rochers at noon. At 3PM I went to get her and I drove to the nearest beach, gave her a gift (a silver lily necklace I had specially made), opened some red wine, we ate some cheesecake, different cheeses including my favorite blackberry cheesecake... we shared spoons until sunset... we gazed at each others eyes, since we were stuffed, we didn't go to dinner, we skipped to the part where there shouldn't be anymore details...

You're not really in Chicago, are you demonhale? I don't think you'd be going to the beach when it's below freezing outside. Why do you lie ??? Wink

You're quite the romantic! Wink

Well that's where I was the last year(chi, zip 61615), Remember I was never active here at the months of September to December? I moved since I was partnering with my brother (who still is in Chi btw), An offer came for me to move to asia, and remember I talked about living near a beach? I do... My front yard is the beach, and the backyard are mountains. (They have lots of green and blues here). Also, here is where I found my heart too... (I hope)...

Well anyways, my mother always say Im overly romantic... It's a hopeless case... Laughing out loud

Yes, lordbiron, my wife and I had a great time. It was our first real date since we had kiddo #2 at the end of last year. So it was a lot of fun.

I'm working the late shift this evening so couldn't take her out for a meal like I normally do, so I set up a table for two in the office above where she works (her mum owns the cafe she works in so it was ok). We then had a kind of romantic meal for two with non-alcoholic wine (since we were both working). I also bought her a nice bunch of flowers and a necklace.

She bought me a photography magazine, Doctor Who book, a 'purple ronnie little book of marriage' (we're getting married this year) and a thing of romantic chocolates of which she's eaten more of than I've had Wink
