What the ?#$#?!#$%!?!? Stats from *this* month.

Dang, and I was all ready to use a nice little dHTML script that wouldn't work in NS 4.x, thinking that it would only be a small percentage...
I'd still like to know what "Other Netscape Compatible" means...

netscape-compatible. probably an opera-browser, who tells the server he's netscape?

That seems like a lot for Opera.... I wonder if mozilla is included in that - at first I thought mozilla would be included with NS 6, but I'm pretty sure I've made more than 15 visits to the site this month (with mozilla!).
The worst part is that I spent an hour trying to get this script to look okay for NS 4, and now I can't use it! Maybe I can try some hacking... (it's an explorer-style cascading menu in an amazingly small amount of code. NS 4.x was just going to see the whole thing expanded)
Oh, forgot, This is the site I'm talking about.
What is INternet Ninja? Would MSIE with no version number be v. 3???

Opera is just the best browser out there. It is so fast, I suggest everyone gets it and forget Netscape, and IE.

Thanks for reminding me to try that - I keep meaning to download it but I haven't gotten around to it ... until now. I'm pretty happy with mozilla right now though.

Wow, I am impressed.
Last time I was Mozilla on the top was like 3-4 years ago...
And recently I did a small research in the city; why people use 4 generation browser (NS as well as IE). Most of them are just lazy to upgrade or fear that their (older) computers will crash after...
Majority of Mozilla users are elderly people and some schools that do not have funds for upgrading the hardware...
On the side, I myself, loved NS 4 once more than IE and I still have 4.7 to test the sites
Still, I sold my soul to IE

I find that a lot of schools and governments in Canada use NS 4, as well as our largest dial-up provider so that could be why our stats for NS 4 are so high.

Using opera now - thanks for reminding me about that Parker. It's got some pretty cool little features in here. I love that zooming function - you can zoom in and zoom out on a page, anywhere from 20% to 1000%. Don't know how useful this will be but it sure is cool. You can also switch images on and off with one quick click on the tool bar. There's also document mode which seems to turn of all formatting. It's also got a tabbed interface and sidebar similar to mozilla, although Opera's has e-mail built right in!
This might be my new favourite browser!

I have the free and I don't find them all that intrusive at all. They're just on the right side of the browser toolbars - I'll do a screenshot if you want when I get home.
The only thing Opera doesn't have is a personal toolbar/links bar which I find to be pretty handy usually.

Oh, yes, it does - you can display them in a sidebar as you can in IE and mozilla but it doesn't seem to allow you to create a toolbar for a selected group of your favourites (mozilla calls this "Personal Toolbar", in IE they call it "Links")

I don't find the ads bad at all. You learn to not even notice them very quickly.

Here's that screen cap:

Reduced in size a bit and optimized for your downloading pleasure, so excuse the fuzziness.
And this thing is freakin fast! Even faster than mozilla!

so what's the catch, the browser is faster and seems to be better in many other aspects, are there more security holes?

The catch has to be that it costs money, isn't as univerally supported (i.e. some sites may not display properly in it), and many add-ons and whatnot don't work. For example, I would be lost without the Google Toolbar.

Opera only costs money if you want to get rid of the ad. I might consider doing that. I think it's only $15 or something like that.
I think the main problem is that 1) your average web surfer has never heard of Opera, or mozilla for that matter either and 2) many of those who have just don't give it a chance.
I haven't had many problems with sites not working in Mozilla or Opera.

Just discovered gesture commands - these are freakin cool! You just hold down your right mouse button and move to the left to go back, to the right to go forward etc. Neato.
