What is your most favourite program in the world? A program you just can't live without or you use everyday? (Not including browsers, email clients).
Mine is probably Macromedia Dreamweaver. I do all my Web designing/editing on it.

I suppose since computer games are technically programs I'd have to say GTA Vice City. I'm totally addicted.

Visual Basic 6. I can't tell you how many "quick and dirty" apps I've written over the years to fill an immediate need.

What is a program? What counts as one?
For me, it depends on what task needs doing.

Abhishek, anything that you use often or you like using. (Game, Web design tool, graphic tool etc).

Not necessarily my most used, but I'll say Dreamweaver MX 2004 (even it if is a resource hog).
(since Opera is not included in this survey
)

I'm trying to think of one... hrmmm, nope. No one "program" I couldn't live without -- I have alternatives for everything.
Maybe Bluefish.
I asked because some programs don't have graphical user interfaces (usually servers), and run as background processes (daemons), etc. I depend on several such applications.
Anyhow, I don't think you should discount browsers so easily. Opera and Mozilla browsers are very powerful applications with all sorts of tools, especially for web development, that put them a league or two above ordinary browers.

Okay, I didn't read the original question very well. DW is my favourite program because I like it's many powers and interface tools and such. I could live without it, though. I would be a very unhappy person without Opera, for sure, and I couldn't do my job without Flash.

In that case, Apache is my favourite, no doubt about it. PHP and MySQL follow.
