I am (yawn). I'm still sorting through the RSS and trying to bring myself to do some actual work. I picked up a bad cold from my dad over the holidays too Sad

How is your day going?

I was actually back at work last Thursday but fortunately have booked the rest of the week off (no real reason just because I can). Had a cold myself for about 4-5 weeks. It seems to go away for a day or two then come right back again in a slightly different form. Might help if I stop drinking so much at the weekend I guess Laughing out loud

Other than that though it seems to be going ok today. Got some stuff to sort before i'm on my break and of course the usual list of jobs that just sit there taunting me... I'll get round to doing them one day.

We were meant to have a holiday?

Being self employed can have it's downfalls, but if all goes well I wont be later this year and around May/July I am taking a break. Then have to adapt to working for someone else *eek* with real hours and do mornings again *double eek*, hmm maybe self emplyed isnt so bad after all Wink

Some people are like slinkies, they dont really serve any purpose but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs ...

Argggggggggggggggggg, first day of winter quarter at the community college. I just know my political science class is going to be full of hippies Plain. My C programming class is full of nerdy dudes but the good thing is there are a couple of girls Wink. I have a database design class later today at 6pm and it goes till 8:20pm. I know that class is going to be a bundle of fun...

On a brighter note, I got some new hardware for my computer (dual core processor, ddr3 gpu, mobo, ddr2 800 ram) and it is supposed to come in tomorrow! I might be able to play Day of Defeat Source at 1680 by 1050 Cool.

I'm back. I was working pretty much solidly over Xmas - the only days off that I had were Xmas day, boxing day and new years day. I worked every single other day including weekends! Sad

That's one of the great things about working for a university - the school is closed between Chrstmas and New Years Laughing out loud I hear next year we get two full weeks off just because of where the dates fall (no sense in making us work one day at the start of the week). Hello England and France!

My ex works for a college (ages 13-17 ?) she has 4 weeks off, the kids about 6 weeks.
Is strange the holiday times around the world.
In NZ we get about 6 weeks a year, 4 at xmas (paid), all the public holidays (at least 7 days of those - paid) and 5 days paid sick leave

Just got back to work today... At the very least this removes me from the list of people getting burned-out.
