Hey,
I went to the BoardZilla site ( www.BoardZilla.org ) and all that comes up is a black screen with the picture of the dinosaur and it says June 2000. Wondering if anybody knows whats up with it? Maybe we could eventually switch to BoardZilla on this instead of the UBB or the vBulletin which we might go to. Well, I should go now.

yeah, i've been trying to find out what's going on with boardzilla for sometime now, no luck. anyways, i'm just about finished with my own forum script. i'd like to see the boardzilla one if/when it gets finished.

Yep, BoardZilla is getting a facelife. Well, lots more then that. Everything is new! I'm writing version 0.1 right now, or otherwise called the CORE. BoardZilla doesn't have anything to do with TWF anymore (except JP owns the domain), and I'm the new head programmer. All new team also. We'll be opening memberships for "head" people soon. Of course it will still be open source also. If you want to be involved in the project drop me a line...

Well, I was working on Boardzilla, but I am now developing it independently... I had put it on hold for a while, but I've resumed development.
In case you're curious... It will be in Perl. The first version will use text-files, although MySQL upgrades are planned. I intend to release it during the summer. (Right now, I'm working the bugs out of the template system

Yeah, I was working with Stefen for a little bit with the design of the forums, but then he put the project on hold, and I started all over by myself. Then I asked JP if I could use the BoardZilla domain, and he said that was fine. So, I'm developing the CORE, and once that's done I'm gonna open up the site and stuff like that. If you want to help please post it here or send me and e-mail (I'm writing it all down now). I have a few questions though...
1) How are open source projects supposed to get funding? 'Cause I'm really hoping to make this open source, but it also needs some funding.

Funny you should mention Boardzilla. My server used to host the newsgroups for the project. In fact, those newsgroups are still there and functioning. If you want to use them still, send me an ICQ (7544722) or e-mail me and I'll clean them up a bit and posting can resume.

hehe, robp i usually have a few scripts n development at a time. i'm currently working on a sports game script, forum script has been delayed a bit. however, once i get the forum script done u can check it out to see if u like it. it want be too fancy. i'm looking to make it efficient on server resources.

Justin is the head programmer for one bz and stefen is the head programmer for another bz. Hmmmm, so are these two bzilla's related or are they two completely different dino's?

I'm developing (just the CORE) and running the BoardZilla site, so I guess I'm the official one. Stefen used to be working on BoardZilla, but when he put it on hold I started making a whole new CORE and a new site.
