I found this all-purpose homepage site, where you have a search engine (google powered), file hosting (including videos), ranking tool, and ip checkup all on the same page. Check it out! It's pretty cool

I think it should not be called all purpose because it doesn't have an option to check emails. Also it needs a better design to make it look like all purpose homepage. I guess they should call it a multi purpose homepage rather than all purpose.

Yep, that too. A lot of people use it for forums too. If you want to show a picture to everyone on a forum, you upload it there and post the link here. You can use it for avatars, signatures, banners, or anything

you've made alot of assumptions there - why would I want Google over yahoo or msn on the all purpose homepage?
You should create a php script that allows users to decide what they want to be put on their own homepage and give it a subdomian url.

I don't think it's that good. Google's new member page is way better, IMO. Your site is more targeted for webmasters, and I can find some better webmaster sites than THAT.

I think you should target the common www user give them what they want..
Well thats what i have been working on. I hate to see people get trapped in a site like aol or people with the yahoo browser that cant even change their default home page with the sbc yahoo browser...
