It ends today, at least thats waht the site says, but at register.com you can get an unlimited number of $1 domain until the end of 9/30/00 today. http://staples.register.com/

You have to go through their cobrand site. I registered about 20. ITs seems too cheep, yet its true.

It’s not a bad deal. Obviously they are trying to entice people to purchase a domain and pay full price next year. You just have to transfer the domain to a different registrar in a year. Register.com is still one of the higher costing registrars.

Yep. I found out about this yesterday and I've registered 40 so far. I plan on transferring them to OpenSRS once the one year is up. Can't beat it!

I have about 20 now, but they are all personal or variants of my company’s name (i.e. aisdesign.com, aisinternet.net). Can’t think of too many more that I’d want which are available.

On some other forums that I visit, people are saying that register.com will charge you a $35 transfer fee...even if its at the end of the registration term.
So that kind-of makes the deal seem not so good as far as I am concerned...I was going to get some but found out about that at the last minute.

Imagine, you get them for a dollar apiece. Maybe you can sell one or two for under $100.You still have your costs covered with one or two sold.

They don't.

Yep Smiling

Also, it seems that they are still accepting $1 registrations even though it's past the ending date.

If you want me to send you the list of the ones I got I'd be happy to do it. All are either the NET/ORG versions of my companies names, or part of the CodingFile Network which I'll be launching soon. Though I don't know where bummerman.com fits into that picture Smiling

Quite alright.. I'd rather not be exposed to your domain purchasing fever.

Has anyone had any experience with redirection services? And if so, any comments?
