Which Anti-virus do you use ?

I use Avira it works well I was using Avg before both are about the same,both are fine

I've never had a problem with AVG Free Edition. It has caught virus that Norton and McAfee missed. That combined with Malwarebytes Ani-Malware Free Edition will protect your computer well.

Why are you not satisfied with any of them?

Most free ones are as good as each other, in that some will catch things the others wont etc, but you do get what you pay for, and as they are free with free updates, I think they are pretty good.

I always install AVG Free for people when I fix and update their PC's (as often they don't have any) and have never had any complaints.

But again, it depends on why you are dissatisfied for what recommendations can be made.

Using Avast + Spybot Search & Destroy

With on-access protection, Avast has detected the occasional malware link posted on these forums. It is also excellent in spotting bad mp3s downloaded from Limewire.

I do not notice a significant slowdown. Why does nobody else mention Avast on these threads?

Avira I find the best, have also used AVG and find it pretty good.

What do I run: Nothing. I'm just extremely picky of my activities and don't let anyone but me use my systems.

Before though, I'd been running Trend's (www.antivirus.com) software since 2000. For people whose systems I work on, if they don't want to buy it, I install AVG, letting them know some people say it is more of a resource hog, but so far no one has complained about it. (I guess it'd be like complaining that a corvette can go faster than a taurus when you are only willing to pay for the taurus)*

I'm also a fan of Spybot, mainly because that is what I started using and haven't switched.

Eset Nod32 works well for me.
I have tried AVG Free and Avast.
But Eset can detect more virus/worms as compared to AVG and avast.
so I stayed with ESET smart security.

oh yeah, forgot about that one, that is what we run at work on e-mail.

I recently reformatted my computer .. a friend of mine did it, and he installed Avast for me.. It's pretty good.

I am using AVG Free Edition and it looks as everything is ok with it for now. I have been using NOD before, but AVG is better in my opinion.

Bitdefender is the best., i'm using it now.,

I used Nod 32, Panda, Dr.werb, avast, AVG. But now I have Kaspersky internet security, it is the best antivirus I ever saw.

to scan my computer i have norman malware cleaner..
for protection i have AVG..

I am using Avg free edition and I have to say it works perfectly for me. I did use Avira for a few months, just to try it out, had no problem with it either, but I prefer Avg. I'm using it since I can't even remember when and have no complaints. I can only recommend it...

I am using Avast anti virus software.... I think its preforming well more then other anti virus guard...!

i used to use avast and like 2 spyware removers, i still got infected from time to time with some viri
my usb keys were always infested 2 even after several scans.

long time ago i even got my credit card hijacked by some keylogger or spy/malware

i did get fed up, then i was about to reformat and came across ubuntu-linux

since that day (3 years ago) never had to deal with viri or spyware, now i have much more free time to attend and develop my sites (or just relax more if i want), instant stress reliever, couldn't be happier

any one use panda anti virus.

i use avg anti virus.

i use NOD 32 antivirus.

I feel safe with NOD 32 ESET anti-virus...

I have tried many of them.. When my system was old and slow i was using Avira at those days. After updating my RAM i changed my antivirus to Avast. Then i tried Kespersky because it is highly recommended on internet. Finally when i purchased new PC i installed Bit Defender in it.

I m using Avast and that is great for me. I m using this anti virus since 5 years and I always prefer this.

I have changed a lot of antiviruses to get best one. Last week i have installed Kespersky Internet security but i didn't keep it more than a day. l'm currently using avast 5.0.677 internet security. It is very user friendly and best in performance.

Well it is secure to use complete version of anti virus. As i'm using free version of avast antivirus and it is not complete protected than so i have "Online Armor" Spyware, Malware, Trojans remover.

I was using Avast antivirus for my windows XP, It was good. But for windows 7 there is no version of 64 bit Avast(antivirus works good on 64 bit on 64 bit windows 7) so moved on to Microsoft security Essentials.

Bit defender takes a lot of windows resources it means it takes memory and slowdown the system. By watching this aspect i can say that Avast, Avira, AVG and kespersky are very good antiviruses. I'm personally using Avast Internet security.
