Great Firewall of Australia
The Australian government has been working on censoring the Internet for some time now. The claim is that this will help stop child porn, however a leaked copy of a proposed banned site list included poker sites, fringe religions, a dentist, normal porn sites, Wikipedia and Youtube links.
The definition of a site to be banned is becoming broader now too, it's to include small breasts and female ejaculation. According to Australian Senators, small breasts ‘encourage pædophilia’. I'm not really sure about the rationale behind female ejaculation.
So, in your opinion, is Internet censorship Winstralia or Ausfailia?

Ausfailia. Although, after a recent case (http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/cases/cth/FCA/2010/24.html) - which I have been following because I used to work for them - they are reviewing that policy. Not surprised if the legislation still gets passed though :S
Regardless, a few strange things are happening with the internet services in Australia at the moment (http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/call-to-cut-net-link-on-virus-hit-c...).
There was a little bit of a fuss here in kiwiland about the restrictions you were talking about but, it got shutdown before it really went anywhere. Thank God.

I've not read the information indepthed, but from what you say " Ausfailia is my bet. I swear Australia is becoming naost or something from all of that massive immigration since the seventies. I'm becoming anti-immigrant on the grounds of things that negatively affect countries idenity and integrity. This is really not a democracy then at all. Where are the parents? This is something that the Internet Service Providers should completely block with web hosts that is it by an act of congress. Other than that, I think that female ejaculation and small breast are more of a normal hetrosexual preference not what they contort it to be. Talking about leaping at shadows on shotty research at best. What is the heck is going on in the world? Simularly look in Britain towards outsiders of opposing points of view? Seriously you should allow these people in to allow your people to question themselves and to publically mock people of a ilogical dialogue.

Just going by the summary, that Judge Cowdroy seems like a pretty cool guy. He seems to understand the technical issues to a level of competency sufficient to make a judgement.

Is the author trying to be funny? Oddly enough, there are a bunch of actual Anonymous ‘members’ posting in the comments of the article. As they said, they did it for the lulz.
