I'm looking to see how many of you are coffee drinkers and how you like your coffee?
So if you are a coffee drinker how many cups you drink in a day and how you like your coffee?

Coffee is alright, I prefer tea (notably a nice cup of Yorkshire Tea, costs a lot to import it to Canada though). Am convinced coffee from Tim Hortons is the best in the world. Double-cream, no sugar: untold. Smiling

I do like coffee. Too much probably.

I drink about 4-5 cups a day, but that is only because I limit myself as it's not healthy to have too much. I could drink gallons of the stuff.

The way I drink it is plenty of coffee but also plenty of milk. not milky, but the mixture of plenty of coffe and plenty of milk makes it taste strong without it blowing your socks off.

When not drinking coffee I drink tea.

Jeeves, can't you get Tetleys in Canada? I know it's not the same as a good Yorkshire cuppa, but it's not a bad brew.

I drink coffee all the time. Usually all day long (a pot in the morning, a pot in the afternoon.) Been doing this for years. And, amazingly I don't get jittery - at least, no one has said anything to me about it!

I used to drink it with powered creamer (CoffeeMate) and sugar. Lots of sugar. Then I stopped adding sugar to it and started to lose weight! So now it's just coffee and CoffeeMate.

Of course, I live in Western Washington and Starbucks is headquartered just down the freeway - and coffeeshops on every corner...

I usually try to limit myself to 1 cup a day, otherwise I feel headachey and lethargic.

Okay. Here I am using the fast Wi-Fi at my local coffee shop in Berkeley, California. They only serve two types of coffee - medium and dark roast. Of course, it is prize-winning, shade-grown, organic, and fair-traded. (Is there any other kind?[1])

They also serve some excellent organic teas as well. I buy it loose from them to brew at home.

AFAICS I have the best of both (coffee and tea) worlds.

[1] Oh, I forgot. I believe there is a $tar-bucks, somewhere in Berkeley.

Are you sure you're not in Seattle? Smiling

And I have to ask, is the 'wiz' part of your user name related to the coffee?

I enjoy a coffee now and then but as of recently, been drinking more tea than coffee. Abhishek has a "little" bit of a distaste for coffee... seems to have rubbed off on me as I used to drink it a lot more often than tea...

I like coffee a lot

started drinking espresso in Rome when I was 13

for years I would only make the screw-together pressure pot coffee

in college I used to bring a BIG cup with me to Latin class in the am
i would be droopy the first half and animated the second half

then I used to dring the Latino espressos Bustelo Pilon Aquila

for a while I only drank Zabar's fresh roasted or Porto Rico Importing Company (with the amazing chocolate covered coffee beans) fresh roast (NYC)

I was in the hospital and all they had was instant decaf

I also like Maxwell House - but I met a guy who worked for the company that roasted coffee for Dunkin Donuts and A & P and he told me if I knew what they do to MH coffee I wouldn't drink it

I recently got an unsolicited email from BocaJava and ordered 4 8oz gourmet blends for about $9 thinking about ordering again (but won't be that cheap the next time - they're caffeine pushers!)

I drink about 4-5 cups a day hot in the am and iced in the pm

"Do you like coffee?" isn't that a quote from a mid-series episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer? I tried to find a link but found only garbage - and smartly, at the top of Google BocaJava...

...later...

Got another BocaJava email tried to order (half-assed attempt, did not change my info) but they tracked me - it's $8.95 for 4 bags of pretty good coffee, delivered to your door (beans/ground not hot!)

here's the special offer website
they have some problems with the form (I contacted them) you might have to resubmit it 2 or 3 times but it will work eventually

I LOVE coffee, been drinking it for years, but then ...

I usually drink 10 -12 mugs a day, coffee doesn't really effect me as I can be asleep 5 mins after drinking a cup, have never had any health issues or problems with this amount.

However 2 months ago I decided to give up caffine (except chocolate), I knew caffine was addictive and coming off 10-12 cups a day would/could give me some withdrawls (headaches and stuff), 3 days into cutting down I got hit with a wicked cold and managed to go cold turkey as I was death warmed up anyways. Now it's been just over 2 months and have had no side effects, withdrawls or cravings.
Tea has caffine in it too, so I drink something called "Inca", basically a coffee without the coffee (nothing like decaf - yuck), I drink it same way as coffee, it's mind over matter as this caffine free drinks wakes me up in the morning just like coffee did.

Ok I do confess, a couple of weeks ago I accidently made myself a coffee (jars are very similar), it was actually bitter tasting

Am I going to drink coffee again? sure am, to much of a pain in the butt not being able to drink coffee when you go out. I'm just going to do four months free as it takes about three to leave your system completly.

There was a thing on tv not long ago about coffee.
Basically it said coffee contains nothing good for you, it is all toxins BUT up to 5 cups a day is proven to enhance your reaction times about an hour after drinking it.

Is it (coffee) good for you? no, is it bad for you? no

Everybody has a different effect on all things, some can drink coffee and go straight to sleep, others can't sleep for 6 hours after a coffee ...
