Attn: People who have license to Zend Studio BEFORE version 6

(note, some of this may be wrong, but this is my best guess with going on two weeks and no response from zend to both e-mails and support form fill out from a registered paid customer.)

Zend.com has redone their "My Account" System, and they now only register software to the order number.

However version 5.x needed a name, not order number. When I go into my account now, it shows that my licensed copy is NOT 5.1, but 6.1 Home. The dates on when the license was purchased DO match my e-mail receipts for originally purchasing 5.x back a couple of years before 6 was even out! Also it no longer lists my registration to version 4.

Best I can tell is anything prior to 6.1 they cannot put into their account system, so anything prior to 6.1, they are just giving people the license for 6.1. Go to the link to download 7, and there is a link for "older versions". I downloaded 6. I installed it and used the license key they gave me. Even though the license key is listed as 6.1 Basic, About in the program shows 6.1 Professional (I did purchase the Pro version of 5).

I e-mailed them at their sales address inquiring that this is not a mistake and that I can use it. After 3 days of not even an autoresponder, I logged into my account and used the member contact form to submit the same thing. It's been almost two weeks, no reply. Very disappointing!!! So I'm playing that they must agree and don't want to admit it.

So if you had a registered LEGAL copy of something before 6.x, go check it out and see if you get the comp upgrade in their system. (post here if you did or didn't)

PS. This is a not a thread for debating editors. Any responses with that will be removed. I'm all for open source (ie, like Aptana), but zend has features I feel are worth the cost.
