Hi. I'm silverwing. You may remember me from sites such as drupal.org and opensourcecms.com.
You may not know me from my own personal sites, though.
Misguided Thoughts is my personal journal. (I hate the word 'blog' - yet I do use it on occasion.) Running on Drupal.
My newest site is Land of Midnight, an online fantasy serial. That, too, is running Drupal.
My middle child.... err, site, is showcaseCMS which is devoted to showing off other websites that use open source content management systems. Guess what that site's using... You, in the back row... Yep, Drupal!
(Yes, I have a freaky obsession with content management systems.)
In 'real' life, I'm David and I live in Western Washington State with my cat Gimpy. (Okay, his real name is Moon, but online he's usually Gimpy.) I spend most of my days drinking coffee and wondering where I'll move to - someplace warmer where dying of heat stroke is a distinct possibility.
I'm a fan of the TV show Lost (which I'm sure is a love story between Desmond and Penny) and I also try to watch Battlestar Galactica online. That is one frackin' awesome show - most of the time. And I really don't like American Karaoke... err, American Idol.
I have no problems placing parenthesis where they really don't belong (understand?) and placing dashes indiscriminately in text - it's just so much fun - as I write.
And I can't figure out for the life of me why Microsoft with its billions of dollars couldn't hire a couple more developers to make an operating system actually work yet come out on time. That baffles the mind.

Using drupal is a key indication, you know. Did you find us through some of Jeevesbond's modules?
To answer your question, the purple elephants are in the padded cell. They were getting a little out of hand so we had to put them away for awhile.

Hi, Megan. Thanks. I'm not sure how I found you. I was wandering around some back alleys on the 'net and stumbled into this dive. (Talk about seriously watered-down drinks...)
I don't think I use any of Jeevesbonds modules.
And keep an eye on the elephants. I think they're planning an escape.

Hey, welcome to TWF silverwing. I'm second-chief Drupal aficionado around here (after Michelle, of Advanced Forum fame).
Actually, that sounds like it came from the Urban dictionary, it does make a horrible sort of sense if you really think about it.
Nevertheless, my purple elephant is safely stowed-away.
