New guy, standing by

Howdy everybody,

My name is Mike Conway and I'm a graphic artist, writer and, in the background, a website designer and voiceover person. I want to move beyond HTML so I'm looking around and talking to people. I'm surprised at the community I've seen on various webmaster boards; very cool.

I feel the best way to learn is by talking to those that have gone before you, so here I am.

I'm also starting a publishing biz for role-playing games and novels.

My first site was called "Eclectic" (from "eclectic mess", a term used by Wiccans who pull their beliefs from varied other religions) and was just a mishmash that I put on Geocities, meant to be for my various writings. Over time the name evolved into what's now called Darkstar Eclectic Media, which is my aforementioned publishing biz.
