My name is Carrie and I've designed a e-commerce site for my son. Never designed before and did this site with notepad and css.
I used to work on PC's and decided to give this a try...so far I've learned a tremendous amount and hoping to learn much more.

Great to have you with us Carrie!
Glad to hear you're using the right tools for the job. One thing you could do is get a free application like html kit or Bluefish (for Linux). These will at least make the code pretty colours, which definately helps readability.

Welcome aboard, Carrie. It's always great to know about the actual code behind websites, so I applaud your using notepad and CSS right away.
